The FAFSA is required for all students who wish to be considered for federal, state, and institutional grants, student and parent loans. All students receiving any federal, state, or institutional loans must maintain <\/span>Satisfactory Academic Progress<\/span><\/a>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\n Federal Student Loans<\/span>\n <\/h2>\n

Federal loans are borrowed funds that you must repay with interest. A federal student loan allows students and their parents to borrow money to help pay for college through loan programs supported by the federal government. They have low-interest rates and offer flexible repayment terms, benefits, and options.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n Parent & PLUS Loans<\/span>\n <\/h2>\n

The Federal Direct PLUS Loan <\/span><\/span>is an education loan for parents of undergraduate students. The parent is the sole borrower, not the student. <\/span><\/span>The Federal Direct Graduate PLUS<\/span><\/span> is a federal loan for graduate students enrolled at a minimum of 4.5 credits per semester.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Have you exhausted your maximum borrowing eligibility through the Federal Direct Subsidized\/Unsubsidized Loans, as well as considered the Parent PLUS Loan? If so, you may want to consider a private student loan through a non-federal loan program.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
